Renaissance Fair - September 2014

Yep, we went to the Renaissance Fair!  You know how we love our nerd conventions.  It was a HOT day, but we enjoyed the time with our friend Danielle.  Knife throwing, ax throwing, chinese star throwing, and archery.  We are now equipped to do battle!

.

We even captured an elf!

Oaks Park with the Newtons - Summer 2014

We had a great afternoon with the Newtons at Oaks Park this summer!  I can't go on any of those rides, because they make me sick now.  I used to love them!  It's even hard for me to watch the rides go around, but it's great to watch the kids have so much fun and share some memories of my childhood at Oaks Park with them.

All the Little Details - Disnelyand - Toad Hall ~ Mr. Toad's Wild Ride

When we went to Disneyland last month I wanted to take photos of some of the little details.  One of the things that makes Disneyland such an amazing place are all of the little details.  We always have to remind each other to look up.  All of the stores, restaurants and attractions have decorations around the top of the buildings, inside and out, but there is some much to do and so much to look at that probably 99% of people just never notice some of those amazing little details.

Even the chimney has intricate detail.

Gates along the line route.  Outside looking in.

Glad this line is going nowhere in particular.

Even a photo opportunity  outside.

Inlay wood on the ceiling where almost no one will see it.

Ride in style!

4th of July 2014, Salem Keizer Volcanoes vs Hillsoboro Hops

Did you know there are two Minor League baseball teams in our area?  The Salem/Keizer Volcanoes and the Hillsboro Hops. You know we are big Red Sox fans but since Fennway Park is always sold out, we still get to enjoy our local minor league teams!

Raevon, Jody, Brea and Dani enjoying the game.
We went to Keizer for the 4th of July game, followed by fireworks on the field.
The game was also a very nice tribute to all veterans.  I forget who won, but it was still a great game.
