Comic Con 2015

We really are getting a lot of use out of these costumes.
We must have posed pictures with everyone at Portland Wizard World Comic Con 2015
But hey costumes are half the fun at Comic Con.
Futurama's Zapp Brannigan made a showing

Lots of stars from The Walking Dead
Eugene and Abraham

One of my favorites from TWD, Steven Yeun, or as I know him Glenn!
The gal next to him had a great Maggie costume on.

Glenn says hi and told us we looked adorable in our costumes
SWOON!

Good Fairies and Storm Troopers

We saw Steve Amell From Arrow. Yeow!
Sasha Roiz from Grimm.
The moderator asked him is this was his first time in Portland.
The crowd went nuts and Sasha said, very nicely, "we shoot Grimm in Portland"
Alan Tudyk of Firefly, Suburgatory, Tucker and Dale vs Evil, and so much more.
He is so witty, funny and adorable. I knew he would be.

And best of all. I finally got a picture with my favorite princess.
Little Tiana from the Princess and the Frog

Vegas Baby!

Had to get my PDX carpet picture.

I really didn't realize the PDX  carpet was that big of a deal, but oh man it is.
There is a beer named after it, t-shirts, and all kinds of stuff
The Flamingo Hotel has a great free bird atrium. Black swans, Storks, ducks, and puffins.
With flamingos of course.
The Neon Museum is really neat. Check an earlier post for all the great pictures
Old town Fremont District shopping Center with several restored neon signs

The Mob Museum is huge with great interactive exhibits, artifacts, and photo ops

We took a day long Bus tour to the Grand Canyon.
Stopping along the way at Hoover Dam, Old Route 66, and a few Grand Canyon Historic lodges
On our last day in Vegas, we took a self-guided History Channel tour.
Pawn Stars, Kounting Kars, and  as pictured above
Rick's Restoration

Nutcracker Suite

We haven't gone for a while. So we decided to go see the Oregon Ballet Companies Nutcracker Suite

I love dance and ballet. The choreography was great.
they really kept those Primas on their toes.
Yeah Ballet puns!

Craft Night

Adam, Raevon, and Jody, ARE READY TO CRAFT!
Adam's project turned out really cute. the queen of pins and her poem

Until the wee hours. We love to scream after hours of trial and error,
"I love to craft it's SOOO RELAXING!"
Jody's project turned out really cute too.
She needle felted a dashing fox and mounted him on a lovely plaque
Mom and I made motion boxes that took a couple of craft nights to finish;
Watch out sailing ship it's the Kraken!
Hopefully I can get Jody to post the Video of our Motion boxes in motion

All the Little Details - Las Vegas - Neon Boneyard Museum

This was our second trip to the Neon Boneyard. The last visit was 7 or 8 years ago and they didn't have the La Concha entrance set up or such a nice viewing area.  It's a great walk through Las Vegas history, in a town that doesn't seem to care much about its history.  Even better, you can combine tickets with the Mob Museum and save ten bucks!

The museum gift shop is in the lobby of the La Concha Hotel and Casino, rebuilt on their lot.
